Non-formal Education in Formal Education Context

The project Non-formal Education in Formal Education Context will last for 14 months and has gathered actors of FE - schools, HEI and Colleges, together with NGOs to work on a better understanding of the practical way and possibilities of implementing nonformal education in the formal system. The Institutions of formal education involved in this project are schools willing to give more opportunities and better offer to their students, engaged in the project to try out tools of NFE and make a research on the student's response to learning.
The NGOs, already working with NFE and young people, children and adults have experience in implementing those tools out of the formal system, after school, in daily rooms, in workshops, in Summer Camps and events. We have collected all these partners in order to develop a more sustainable support both for teachers, pedagogues, educators and actors of formal education system; and, at the same time, gather youth workers who can help supporting the activities in schools, promoting a symbiosis which can lead to better environment at schools, a real impact on learning and diminuish the lack between the content teachers need to deliver due the national curriculum and the young people's interest.

This way, we'll work on two activities - to gather educators, teachers, pedagogues and youth workers and youth leaders, to understand the young people's learning needs, the teachers struggle at national level; as well as develop and learn tools and activities which can be implemented in schools and formal insitutions of education to promote an active learner-center
approach, in what concerns subjects missing in the schools.

As such, the project combines one Training Course and one Seminar within its timeline:

Training Course: we'll work on the understanding of the real time Schools can spend in implementing workshops to develop soft skills; we'll gather to discuss learning, education, LLL, NFE, IE&FE; as well as learn new tools and activities which can be implemented in the normal curriculum of students and its goals. We'll also work on developing new tools to share the
knowledge and skills of formal education system and curriculum through gamification.
After the educators and youth workers will end the first TC, they'll go back to their countries to try the methologies, together; gather feedback and conclusions from their practices and sum them up.

Seminar: In which we'll analze the implementation of the activities at local level, share feedback, difficulties and things which have worked well. At the same time, we will try to draw solutions all together, from the European Network established in the Project.
